Degree in Medicine from the University of Seville and PhD in Medicine and Translational Research from the University of Barcelona, with a postdoc in Health Systems Engineering at the Mayo Clinic (MN, USA).

He is currently an Assistant Professor in Health Systems Engineering, Medicine, and Otolaryngology at Mayo Clinic, and Adjunct Assistant Professor in the Department of Biostatistics at Harvard School of Public Health (Boston, USA), where he teaches and is a member of the executive committee of the Master of Health Science (Health Data Science).
