Computer Engineer from the University of Oviedo in 2006 and PhD in Business Administration from the same University in 2015, with a doctoral thesis, focused on artificial intelligence, and entitled: “Solving combinatorial multiobjective optimization problems in the industrial environment” in collaboration with the Department of Production Engineering.
He has 18 years of experience in research and in the application of mathematical modeling and artificial intelligence techniques applied to the industrial sector: in particular, in evolutionary optimization techniques applied to planning and programming problems in the supply chain and in big data techniques for the development of predictive models both in the supply chain and in the commercial field.
In February and March 2020 he made a stay at Michigan State University (MSU, East Lansing, USA) together with the world’s leading expert in multi-objective optimization, Professor Kalyanmoy Deb.
Interested in biostatistics and the application of machine learning techniques in the health field. He has published more than 20 publications in international conferences and journals, organized workshops in top-level congresses such as GECCO (The Genetic and Evolutionary Computation Conference) and is currently a frequent reviewer in the scientific journal Metallurgical Research & Technology.
He has also co-directed theses, several master’s theses and end-of-degree projects related to machine learning and linked to the University of Oviedo.
Our goal is to design and develop innovative, novel and pragmatic products applying Artificial Intelligence techniques, with a special focus on the healthcare sector.
